M4 Composites in the PTO (National Archives)
Leading tank has the later high bustle turret with the right side armor reinforcement, the oval loader's hatch, and the re-introduced pistol port.  The second tank has the earlier low bustle turret which was produced with the right side armor reinforcement, but without the pistol port or the oval loader's hatch.  Both are probably equipped with the second type of split flap commander's hatches with the balance springs on the hinges.
