Scots Greys Sherman,

| This is a marking set that I
came up with based on the photos I found, which are shown below. My research indicates that the Greys did not participate in the Sicily operation, only in the Italian operation, landing at Salerno. The tanks initially landed without the black spots. These were added later, probably just before the photo around Mt Vesuvius. I have only shown the spots on one of the views, but the pictures indicate that they were on all sides. The use of the roundel is conjectural, but it is correctly sized and is placed based on an image of a CLY tank in Sicily |
